We did a great tour with Cabo Adventures. We enjoyed the guides and the zip lines were pretty cool. Our adventure included a 3 1/2 hour Outdoor Adventure and included our hotel transfers. We were staying at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach on this trip and it was about and hour drive each way. We opted for the Combo Adventure that included the Zip Line and a short UTV Adventure. All in it was probably about 6 hours.
This was not a simple zip line tour!!
All three of us have been zip lining numerous times and love it each time. This was no exception. But, I’ll be honest, this was pretty rugged terrain. My hubby and daughter did great, but I struggled a little bit. The ground was rocky and sandy with steep inclines/declines. Every time I would reach out to grab something I had to make sure it wasn’t a cactus (ha ha, but seriously).
zip lines
The zip lines are a piece of cake, but I chose to skip rappelling down the canyon walls and crossing the wire commando bridge. The guides were very patient and took me on a different path that was equally challenging (in my opinion LOL). But they were so great the whole time. I cannot say enough good things about this team. Shout out to Gus, Abe, Abraham, Ladis, Dioney and Chai!!!
I think our favorite part was the “pendulum swing”, which is basically falling off a cliff and the guide meets you at the bottom and assists bringing you down with a rope. Pretty scary, but fun – I would totally do it again. And of course the “Superman” which is the fastest and longest line in Mexico. I remember Gus saying it went up to 60 mph and was over 4,000 feet long.
polaris utV
After the zip lining we embarked on a very short (about 20 minute) UTV tour. I think my hubby enjoyed it the most because he was driving but we all had a good time and boy we were covered in dust.
lunch/photo purchase
After our tour we got to view our photos (which we didn’t purchase). They were $150 for the download and then extra for a flash card. In hindsight it might have been fun to have them, but we have our memories.
The lunch was quite a bit more than I expected and homemade. The quesadilla really hit the spot after the tour and the lunch was done very well and so tasty.
If you are a zip line enthusiast I highly recommend this tour, but maybe not the UTV. It was short and it wasn’t as fun (or as picturesque) as other UTV tours I have done in the past.
I would highly highly recommend Cabo Adventures for any tour. They were very professional and competent. They were fun, helpful and joked around with us. They were also really great with the kids that may have some apprehension with zip lines. We had a blast!
